La’Sandra Mesfin-Cook, LMFT

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

As a BIPOC Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Philadelphia, I provide culturally affirming therapy for high-achieving women, millennials, couples, and BIPOC adults navigating stress, burnout, trauma, and relationship challenges. I specialize in helping people who appear successful on the outside but feel emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected, anxious, or stuck internally.

Many of my clients are ambitious professionals, caregivers, people-pleasers, and first-generation adults carrying the weight of expectations, unresolved childhood wounds, and chronic emotional exhaustion. Together, we create a space where you no longer have to over-function, shrink yourself, or navigate life entirely on your own.

My approach to therapy is relational, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive. I help clients explore attachment patterns, boundaries, emotional regulation, self-worth, and the impact of generational and systemic stress. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, codependency, identity stress, relationship conflict, or the lingering effects of childhood trauma, therapy can help you reconnect with yourself and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

I work with:
High-achieving women experiencing burnout, anxiety, and perfectionism
Millennials navigating identity stress, life transitions, and emotional exhaustion
BIPOC adults seeking culturally aware and affirming therapy
Codependent adults and chronic people-pleasers learning to set boundaries
Couples experiencing emotional disconnection, communication challenges, or intimacy issues
• Adults healing from childhood trauma, attachment wounds, and relational pain

I believe healing happens when people feel emotionally safe, seen, and understood without judgment. My goal is to help you develop deeper self-awareness, healthier relationships, and a stronger connection to who you are beyond survival mode.
